Opportunity Highlights:


  • Assures the effective and efficient operations of UCNW’s medical clinics in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, values, medical scope of services, strategic plan and IHI’s Triple Aim to improve the quality of care, improve patients’ experience of care and to control the costs of care.
  • Prioritizes and is responsible for the achievement of departmental goals, objectives and quality measures.
  • Oversees daily clinic operations including direct patient services, systems management, program development and administration with a focus on reducing barriers and variations in workflows, optimizing patient flow and staff workflows and supporting our providers and care teams.
  • Ensures implementation and compliance with all UCNW policies and procedures and applicable regulatory agencies and laws.
  • Promotes a patient-centered, multi-disciplinary, team-based approach in serving our patients that achieves our quality standards, objectives and outcomes across our medical care teams.


Ideal Candidate Offers:


  • AA Degree required, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in a health care setting (outpatient or community health center preferred), three (3) in a supervisory role, required.
  • Additional experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement.

  • Ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities and oversight in accordance with the UCNW’s policies and procedures and applicable state, federal, and local laws, including standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the medical clinic and as may be required by the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Ability to act with integrity and compassion and fosters a culture of mission, trust, respect and accountability for outcomes
  • Ability to collaboratively and effectively work across multiple departments towards a common solution.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with medical, personnel and business information, as well as other confidential information, and conform to HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to keep customer service and the mission of the organization in mind when interacting with clients, co-workers, and others, promoting a positive image for UCNW and fostering an ethical work environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, work in a fast-paced environment and remain flexible in stressful conditions including frequent interruptions, public contact and occasional crisis situations.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to an integrated care delivery model.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of medical clinic, patient flow, tracking, triage, health education, medical office procedures, and health care scheduling.
  • Ability to understand and respond effectively and with sensitivity to special populations served by UCNW. Special populations include those defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, sex, sexual orientation, economic standing, disability, migrant and seasonal workers, homeless, people living with HIV/AIDS, and others.
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement processes such as PDSA cycles.
  • Proficient with computers & applicable software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, Practice Management, Electronic Medical Records, PowerPoint and other applicable software).
  • Ability to travel for training, collaboration with other organizations, and to other areas of community as necessary.
